Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

The first lesson in the Self-Confrontation Bible Study workbook lays the foundation. In it you learn that it is impossible to live a life pleasing to God if you do not have a relationship with God. Without salvation in Jesus and the help of the Holy Spirit - you cannot please God. "So ALL roads do not lead to Rome".

The Bible says this about salvation:
Romans 10:8-10
Mark 1:15
Luke 13:3
John 17:3
John 14:6
(this is not exhaustive or conclusive, just a few of the verses)

So as sinners we must confess that we are such and in need of Jesus, believing that He, is the son of God, who died for our sins, was buried and rose again. Once we have done such, we accept God's gift of grace through salvation in Jesus Christ.

For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

It is exciting to be reminded that we are all created for good works and to walk in them! It is just impossible to walk in the light if you don't have the "flashlight of Jesus and the Word (Bible)"! Our hearts are compelled to live lives that bring Him glory - after all that is God's will for us.

The resulting heart changes come from our new relationship with God. As we grow and mature in this relationship more and more changes will come as we seek to glorify Him. Some of these changes may be very difficult, some of our experiences may be very difficult - nonetheless, God is always with us along the way and His love covers over all of our hurts and mistakes.

Keep your heart in the state of desiring to glorify Him! If you just gave your life to Jesus right now - hip, hip, hooray! Please tell someone you know about it. Please get connected to a church near you that is a Christian church. You'll need fellowship with others who love and follow Jesus along this new journey. If you can't afford a Bible (weird that they are so expensive) I know you can pick up The King James Version at many dollar stores. You can always read it online at biblegateway.com or borrow one from your local library. There are many versions...I personally like The New King James Version and the New International Version. Many Calvary Pastors teach from the New American Standard Bible. Find one and ask God to reveal himself to you through it and He will!

You can always reach me by email. It is in my profile.
