Jesus I am So In Love With You...
Have you ever sung along to that song in the car or during worship service at your church? I believe I sang it for the first time just a few Sundays ago. I marveled at the song...not for its composition nor lyrics - but the whole idea of being in love with Jesus. I can fully say I love Jesus...but am I in love with Jesus? Granted the song is not inferring some type of eros or romantic love, but deep passionate agape - seeking the best for Him. Hmmmm....
I was also awestruck by what that would mean. Well, I say I love my Jesus and yet I just cannot get my self out of bed in time to be in the word and pray each morning. Each afternoon during my children's nap & quiet time I find numerous other things to "do first" then read and pray. Usually one of my kids needs me before I get to the Bible and prayer. I want to live life like I DO love Jesus and am in love with Jesus.
Whilst singing this heart the LORD really impressed upon my heart that Jesus is the word, "and the word became flesh among us". It was almost too much to handle...how can I be so passe with God's word and tell my children to put God first, to know his word? LORD, help me to put your word first - before everything else I want to put before my eyes, Help me to desire to know your word, to write it on the tablet of my heart!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:1-3) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) If you are like me and you love Jesus and you want to live the life of being in love with Jesus - then I encourage you to open up God's word everyday, as I am striving to do, so that we can know and love our Jesus!

You are God in heaven
And here am I on earth,
So I'll let my words be few-
Jesus I am so in love with You.
And I'll stand in awe of You,
Yes I'll stand in awe of You,
And I'll let my words be few-
Jesus I am so in love with You.
The simplest of all love songs
I want to bring to You,
So I'll let my words be few-
Jesus I am so in love with You.
